Economic empowerment to HIV positive clients is one of the major activities being implemented by the organization.
This is one of the economic empowerment models that have given our clients a ray of hope and many of them have been able to start new projects or boost their existing micro businesses.
The profits realized out of such projects are used to meet the households’ basic needs that include school requirements, paying medical bills and feeding the families.
The maximum loan given to a client is approximately UGX 4,000,000 and the minimum is 100,000 and this is payable within a period of 6 months depending on one’s capacity to repay the loan.
Loan security: All the clients who receive our loans must be PLWHAs or grannies caring for orphans and other vulnerable children.
The client must be recommended for a loan by the group leadership where she /he belong and this implies that the group recommendation is taken as security for the loan.
